Well Done AJ! She has just let us know via twitter that she is filming for a Slash music video. The song is called “Gotten” and it features Adam Levine.

I know this isn’t really news worthy but I thought I would let you guys know that I noticed that AJ posted one of the pics from her own Instagram account - amandajoy78. She has a really cute display pic but unfortunately you can’t see it all that well since it is quite small.

Allie MacDonald, one of AJ’s fellow cast members on Salem Falls, recently tweeted a picture of some of the cast doing promotion for the film.

Wonder what the good news could be. Maybe @notreallypeter has already given us a hint to what it could be. Rumour has it that it will be shown on Showcase on the 5th of Feburary for worldwide fans!

I also found on Jodi Picoult Facebook what AJ had to say about her character, Jodi and the movie.

This must be the news Aly & AJ where talking about a while back to do with a book.

Lauren DeStefano’s dystopian sci-fi fantasy “Wither” is headed for the bigscreen, as Prospect Park and Violet House Prods. have acquired feature rights to the first book in a planned trilogy.

Producers are Jeff Kwatinetz and Rob Carliner through their Prospect Park banner and Aly and AJ Michalka via their Violet House shingle.

“Wither,” the first of three novels in first-time writer DeStefano’s “The Chemical Garden” trilogy, was released in March by Simon & Shuster and topped the Barnes & Noble and Publishers Weekly’s young adult bestseller lists.

Story is set in a future where the world’s in a state of panic due to a failed effort to create a perfect race that’s left women with a lifespan of 20 years while men die at 25.

The book series follows a kidnapped girl and her attempt to escape from a forced polygamous marriage designed to keep the population from dying out. The second book, “Fever,” is due out next year.

Prospect Park was a producer with Scott Free on “Unstoppable.”

DeStefano is repped by APA and the Irene Goodman Literary Agency.

Interested to see how this pans out and whether they will just produce the movie or actually be in it as well. Only time will tell.

Celebuzz was in attendance and took in the holiday festivities — chatting with celebs and enjoying the fake snow (we don’t get that here in LA!) The event was filled with yummy holiday snacks, sleds and a snuggle shack where the stars gathered together to celebrate the Fall/Winter 2011 campaign.

When we got a chance to talk with Aly about the brand and what’s next for her, the lovely Hellcats star said:

“I’ve gotten to represent the brand for the past year and I think it’s a huge honor. The brand is really cool and really fresh. This is a perfect event! I wish it would snow in LA! This is awesome.

As for her career, she told us:

“Basically, I’ve been working on music right now. In March we’re going to be doing the album and recording that in New York, so I’m going to be kind of busy for a couple months just doing music. Right now, I’m just in LA finishing up the writing, anything that’s just loose ends on the album. And next year I’m going to be in a movie that’s coming out called The Light of Mine.”
