As you can see, we have tons of new layouts here at the site! We added a brand new layout to the main site, gallery and Fanart section! The layouts were made by Megan from Perfectly Insane Designs and Laura at Paper Hearts! There are two new layouts for the main site. A pink/purple one and a blue one. The pics used for the layouts are the pics of their new music video for HotHouse. You can view them in the gallery! Did you know: you can switch between the themes using the link in the sidebar. The links are working, but are not designed perfectly.. I will fix this asap. I hope you enjoy the new looks here at Reaction and you keep visiting! we have some exiting times ahead of us, since the girls are working on some new music!   |

Aly Michalka keeps cool and casual in a tank top and yoga pants while walking with a guy pal on Saturday morning (February 16) in Calabasas, Calif. The 23-year-old actress carried a copy of “Big Sur and the Oranges of Hieronymus Bosch” by Henry Miller while on her way to a workout with her friend.

I told myself when I began my break from updating the site at the end of last year that I would only update if it was about something that genuinely excited me. So I’m not a hundred percent sure but I think Aly & AJ may be shooting a music video. Maybe even for their song Hothouse which we have yet to hear. So here is the information I have. Amy Strozzi, friend of Aly & AJ and make-up artist, posted this picture on Instagram with two hashtags – #musicvideo #78violet.
Also their friend Anna Rose who is doing the hair on the shoot has tweeted a couple of times about the early shoot in Santa Barbara along with the girls tweeting a hint.
I will add the pics later into the gallery from the “shoot” later but what do you guys think? I might just be going crazy since we haven’t had 78violet yet but I think this could be the start of them coming back!! Let me know what you think in the comments. |

Hello Violetbuds! Darryl here, new member of this website! I’m 20 years old, from Long Island, New York. I’m thrilled to be a part of such a great website. I’ve been a fan of Aly & AJ’s since way back. Even still, listening to their music just never gets old, no matter how long we’ve all been waiting for new material. No rush, girls! Perfection takes time. I truly believe that 2013 will be the biggest year yet for 78violet, and I am happy to be able continue to keep this site alive with any updates from 78violet. Hey fellow violetbuds! You may have noticed recently I haven’t been keeping the site as up to date as it should be (or as I would like it to be). I’ve been so busy juggling school, the site and the rest of my life that its starting to take its tole. So I’ve decided it is time for me to take a long break from updating. Due to this I’m not sure what will happen to the site. Aniek has been kind enough to let me update all this time but now we all have little motivation to keep the site going. In a way its quite sad to think that me leaving could mean the end of the site but I feel its the best decision. But don’t take my word for it. I’m sure Aniek & Gino will update you soon in regards to that! This in no way means that I will stop continuing to support the girls and I can’t wait for next year. I know we say it every year but I feel next year WILL be the Year of the Violet!!! As you might already know the girls are in the final stages of their album, mixing and mastering it, and most of their movies will be coming out next year. 2013 is definitely going to be a good one! Anyway, thanks to all the visitors who made it worthwhile for me to keep updating and I hope to speak to you guys again soon. Hazel |

It streamed live and unfortunately I and many others missed it at the time but it has now been but up on youtube for everyone to watch. AJ managed to stop and say hello to a couple of fans after the Breaking Dawn Part 2 Premiere. One lucky fan even got her to follow her on twitter! Isn’t she the sweetest.
